Bleaching earths for the refining of vegetable oils and fats

The changes in feeding habits, the population increase and the development of fuel from new raw materials has significantly increased the consumption of animal and vegetable oils in the entire world.

Most vegetable oils that are currently consumed (soybean, palm, rapeseed, sunflower, olive, cotton or corn oils) are obtained by a refining process, where the oils come into contact with the bleaching earths during the bleaching process in order to increase their stability by eliminating oxidising products as well as the remains of the pigment that gives the oil its original colour. Subproducts such as phospholipids, soaps, metal particles, chlorophylls, carotenes or peroxides are also efficiently eliminated during this process thanks to the action of the earths.

SEPIGEL RF has a product line specifically developed to satisfy the requirements and characteristics of the oils with the most demand.
